Sam Creasey
Sam Creasey's (b. Maidstone, England) practice researches the complex dialectic between the urban fabric’s natural spaces and its more technologically networked elements. He is particularly interested in how the relationship between human emotion, architecture, and the sociological considerations of urban planning influence the narratives portrayed, in particular as it relates to his native Britain. These narratives often consist of construction, gentrification, hypercapitalism, rapid change, and a sense of alienation. Creasey uses his employed life on the road in delivery logistics as an influence bank and as a psycho-geographical adventure into the lives and localities of various microcosms of city life. Creasey’s multifaceted practice includes painting, drawing, ceramic, and hybridizations which bridge the divides between these media.
Creasey lives and works in London. He received his MFA in Fine Arts from the Royal College of Arts and is part of the college’s permeant collection. Recent solo exhibitions of Creasey’s work include Nimby at the Miami gallery this past spring, The Right Honourable at The Shophouse Hong Kong (2024), and The Best of Bees at Quip and Curiosity, Cambridge UK (2023). He has recently exhibited in group exhibitions with Bernheim Gallery, London; Alice Amati Gallery, London, The Royal Institute of British Architecture, London; and MoM, Seattle. The gallery will present a solo exhibition of Creasey’s work in fall 2026.
